Parachutes for Colombia-sharing god's love

September 5th at 9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall
we will be sewing more parachutes, we finished 45, we need 105 more. another opportunity for "getting your serve on!"
The parachutes will have attached to them Bibles and other Christian books and a radio tuned in to a Christian Station letting the people below know it is a safe drop to pick up. Thanks to pilot Russell S. who has dropped these parachutes in the jungle of Colombia for many years. Russell was dropping parachutes when guerrillas began firing weapons at his plane. While they were firing at him he tossed a gospel-laden parachute to them. Those who caught the parachutes have changed their lives and the Colombian military is using their Black Hawk helicopters to drop more parachutes. Russell says they need thousands more parachutes to reach more of the Colombian people and guerrillas. Russell stated if a guerrilla is pointed into the right direction, they become real powerhouses for the Lord, they take the gospel seriously.

Please come and help our youth make these parachutes. Last year we made 100, we are hoping to make 150 this year.

providing a service

We had 20-22 youth on September 1 mow lawns, pull weeds and many other duties serving those either in our church or in the community who needed help with yard work. BUT they are not limited to just those tasks, if you know of someone who could use some help, contact Haley and she will coordinate the service. As soon as daylight savings time ends, other types of service will be put into effect. These kids worked hard with a servants heart!
